SAVE SCOTUS

The Cause

Joining forces with women everywhere in the fight to stop Trump’s Supreme Court takeover

Supreme Court justices serve for life and deeply impact who we are as a nation. To preserve the dignity and legitimacy of our judicial branch, Americans deserve an uncontaminated appointment process. No president should be playing dirty politics with the highest court in the land.

The 2018 Content

Demonstrating unprecedented resistance to a Supreme Court nomination, the entire civil rights coalition joined forces to help give a voice to the large percentage of Americans who feared Trump’s Supreme Court takeover.

Contributions included:

  • Buzzworthy PR stunt & video content – We turned heads around DC and received coverage by news outlets, influential voices, and sites like NowThis.
  • Coordinated social blitz – Social content included an illustration that went viral in the days surrounding Dr. Blasey Ford’s testimony.
  • Washington Post homepage takeover – Our ads were so controversial that they were taken down after only 12 hours (and we got a full refund).
  • Logistics and production for several weeks of marches and rallies – We helped turn out the masses, garnered PR around our messaging, placed influencers in the Senate hearing rooms to speak out and get arrested, and more.
  • Website – Our team nimbly launched a hub for information and mobilization around the 2018 SCOTUS fight.

The 2020 Content

The moment the world learned that Ruth Bader Ginsberg had died in September 2020, our team launched into high gear. Again.

Contributions included:

  • Pandemic-era logistics and production for several weeks of marches and rallies – Swag, signage, speeches, messaging, and press.
  • Social content – We created videos, commissioned artist partnerships, and created a graphic that went viral the night of Justice Ginsberg’s death.
  • Research, resources, and collateral material – Our ability to work efficiently meant we could create anything on the fly that was needed to help support the coalition.
  • Digital billboard trucks – Our message was strategically timed around ACB’s confirmation, and targeted voters in three key swing states where we felt we had the highest likelihood of swaying a GOP senator.
